The painting The Terrestrial is a symbolic portrait of a person who is an integrated part of the ecosystem. Not a steward of nature but someone who views nature and the environment on equal terms with their own existence.
The need to create this portrait comes from my own experiences and appreciation of nature and concerns with the long-term viability of the our species given the detrimental effect that human activity is having on the planet.
